You’re good at what you do. bidit brings you customers who are ready to hire.
Customers near you post a job, and invite up to three providers to bid. When one picks you, the job lands in your Leads. You set your own price. Joining is free, with no lead fees and no subscription.
Before work starts, the customer pays, and bidit holds the money. It’s released to you when the job is done. bidit keeps fifteen percent, and only when you finish a job and get paid.
Here’s how to get set up.
Let’s create your provider account. On bidit.services, open the menu and tap “For providers”. This page shows what you’ll need to join. Then tap “Create your free account”.
Make sure “I offer services” is selected. Your account type is set when you sign up. Enter your first and last name, your business name, your email, and a password of at least six characters. Then tap “Create provider account”.
bidit emails you an eight-digit code. It works for one hour. Type it in and tap “Confirm account”. bidit will never ask you to share this code.
You’re in. This is your dashboard. Next, set up your storefront so customers can find you.
Customers can only invite you once you’ve added your services and the area you cover. Let’s set up your storefront. Tap “View and edit your public profile”, then “Edit profile”. Start with your logo, or a clear photo of yourself.
It appears on your storefront and on every bid. Under “Basics”, say what kind of business you are, how long you’ve been doing it, and what customers can expect. Write at least eighty characters. Next, your service area.
Your full address stays private.
Customers only see your city and how far you travel. Set how far you’ll go. Jobs outside that distance won’t reach you, and inside it every provider gets the same chance. Under “Services you offer”, choose a category, a subcategory and the service.
Add a starting price if you like, then tap “Add service”.
Services save straight away, so add each one you do. If customers come to your shop instead, tick “You come to us”. Then tap “Save profile”. Your checklist updates as you go.
Next, show customers your work.
Customers decide who to invite by looking at your storefront. Here’s how to make yours stand out. In “Edit profile”, find “Portfolio” and tap “Add a project”. Give it a title, and say what you did.
Then add before and after photos of the job. Leave out phone numbers and QR codes, because customers contact you through bidit. bidit reviews each project before it shows on your storefront. Have a TESDA certificate, or another trade qualification?
Tap “Add a certificate”, enter its title and who issued it, and attach a photo. Once bidit checks it, you earn a badge, and your certificate number stays private. You can also let bidit feature your business on its social channels. A few services, like dental work and driving, need a licence.
bidit asks for it when you add the service. New to bidit, but not to the trade? On your dashboard, invite at least two past customers to review you. Their reviews are marked as from before bidit, and count toward your rating.
Badges show up on your storefront as you earn them. Tap any badge to see how it’s earned. Next: your schedule, and getting paid.
When a customer invites you, you’ll get a notification, and the job appears in “Leads”. Read the job and look at the photos. You’ll see the city and the dates, but never the customer’s budget, so price it as you would any job. Tap “Send a bid”.
Enter your price, and how long the job will take. Need money for parts up front? You can ask for a materials deposit. Then write a short message.
Save it as a template to reuse it next time. Tap “Submit bid”. If the customer chooses you, you’ll agree a date, and you both sign the contract.
The customer pays before you start, and bidit holds the money. Do the job, add before and after photos, and mark the work complete. When the customer confirms, your payment is released. That’s it.
Welcome to bidit.
